I dont use tape. I prefer hair spray. The cheap aquanet works great.
A glue stick also works
You can turn the lead screws(by hand at the couplers) while its printing to raise it a click or 2 or 4 if need be

ok, so i got a few 3d prints off, they turned out really good. Thank you for your help, but 1 last problem.I still can’t connect it to my pc. when i do, nothing happens…
a COM port is not showing up in my device manager, so i’m thinking that i will have to install the correct drivers, but i don’t know where to get the drivers at. my firmware is Marlin v1 i think.
