Just out of curiosity, which is better acetal or bronze bushings?

Just out of curiosity, which is better acetal or bronze bushings? I can imagine that Bronze will wear less, but which provides a smoother movement, or are they essentially the same?

There’s no better or worse, they both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Ok, thanks @Thomas_Sanladerer I wasn’t sure, I have almost no experience with bushings.

For a beginner, I’d recommend polymer bushings over brass - they wear down quicker, but are less troublesome to get to work well. I can also vouch for LMxxUU linear bearings, which are what I use.

Thanks, I use lm8uu’s on my Prusa, they work amazingly.
The reason I asked about bushings is because I’m currently building a Lulzbot AO-100 for a friend and I didn’t want to modify the design to use linear bearings.
