Hello. I need some help with my Prusa i3.

Hello. I need some help with my Prusa i3. I am getting strange layer shifts associated with Y axis. What could be the reason of them?

Extruder shake?

Hmm. Actually I thought it’s the problem with Y axis motor or belt, but your suggestion explains why higher levels are in place.
Thanks!

whats your stepper motors current set at ?
also what jerk and acceleration settings ?

Pulley loose on shaft?

@william_foster@Peter_Hertel I’ll check this layer today, not near the printer now.

Things are not tight. Make sure your gears aren’t moving on the shaft. Tighten tour belts. Tighten all of the screws. Maybe try slowing your print down.

I tightened extruder with piece of PTFE, tightened Y belt, tightened Y motor screws, checked pulley screws (all tight).
XYJerk 20, ZJerk 0.4, Extruder Jerk 5.0, Speeds: first layer 40, movement speed 110, all other speeds 40-60, layer height 0.5.
I will try to print again, show you the result after.

Looks like it worked like a charm https://plus.google.com/115542522239299603417/posts/HyHu9tVCS3r

@Nathan_Walkner Thanks I will try to tweak extruder settings.
