There's a slight difference in size with these new APA102 2020 strips.

Ive only used WS2812B and SK6812. They only have a data line ive never had to mess with the clock line

Yes, they’re just APA102 chips in a tiny case.

And all my boards use the Attiny85

It’s pretty straightforward.

Im gonna buy a couple of strips and play around with them. Theyre so freaking tiny! Lol

It’s amazing how small they are. It really is.

Thank goodness for SMD stencils and solder paste lol

Dang dude an 8x8 matrix of APA102 leds is $50 on adafruit lol

@Cristian_Martinez yeah that’s ridiculously expensive…

Heck even digi key is expensive lol

What exactly are you looking for? Just bare SMD LEDs? Or strips?

Nope same price an Adafruit 10 for 5.95

Just bare ones

Apa102? WS2812?

Look on eBay for the bare LEDs. I found ws2812s for as cheap as $.083 each.

I know theyre really cheap

I wonder if they have anything smaller than 3535 for WS2812Bs

I think the next step down is these APA102s that I posted about. 3535 is the smallest I’ve seen for ws2812s.

I believe apa102s are actually better anyway, faster at processing the data sent to them.

Well i rarely use more than 50 because i just strap them on to clothes and stuff so im not too worried about the processing. I need to give RGBW a try thou. Have you tried them out yet?
