Marlin firmware set up

Redoing my firmware from supplied version with printer to marlin. Wanted to have some more options that I could tune my tl4100 (Jaycar, geetech delta Rostock equiveilant).
Copied what settings I could, can home, go to centre Z0 (5mm above for safety) all with similar speed to previous. Move in Y or X axis and it is a bit jerky, bit of a crunch/ jack hammer noise at end of move and it is moving a little over double the distance that it should.
Z axis appears to move approx the right amount.
Any ideas?
