Most of these changes will not affect normal use of Maker Forums right now, since we have not implemented chat, and the largest changes here involve improvements to the optional chat capability.
The changes in configuration for permissions away from strict trust levels and towards groups may allow us some more flexible anti-spam measures when they are complete. They are currently only partially implemented.
