Hey all, great to see your builds, I have finished mine though I have an issue with the axle/gears, I have tried printing them with .01 mm res and no matter how many times I try with axle and gears they aren’t perfect enough for me. If anyone knows of a Steel axle and gears that would work it would be great if anyone could send me a link. The other issue is that the motor I am using will strip the gears. Thanks!

I have a full list of parts to convert it over to Tamiya f104 running gears. The list is in the comments section on the Pinshape link.
So I bought the axle, rims, bearings, and tires, however when I go to put the wheel on the side not with the tire on it there is nothing to attach it to, is there a part not included on your list on your build or am I missing parts? @brett_turnage

Without the motor mounts the gears won’t mesh up.

Yes I do have them, I just forgot to put them in the list, I still have no way of mounting one of the wheels to the axle, I am probably just doing something wrong. The end of the axle without the gears is just flattened out some, it doesn’t have the hex shape that the other end has.
Oh I know what’s going on. One side has the differential kit. The other side has a connector that fits on. Give me a second and I’ll post the part and hopefully it is in your list of parts. I’ll post the manual to help you put things together

You’re looking for the lock nut. It’s ba17 Tamiya, that’s the part number.). It should’ve come in the differential kit.

The only part I have left is a little tiny Grub screw that goes in the end.
Okay thanks for the pic. Let me get to a computer in an hour and I’ll circle the part that looks to be missing.
Yah I did have to cut the base to make it sit square because the motor mounts hold the motor lower than its printed counter part.
I made carbon base for mine. I was hoping to have it up by now, but if you would like one it’s $35.
Can you send pictures of it? I was thinking of laser cutting myself some sort of base.
