Maybe I’ve missed it in this thread, but what max amperage do you have the machine set to when using LB?
The values in the tables are very similar to my measurements. I would highly recommend that you install an ammeter, it is cheap and easy to do.
If you are lucky enough to have a potentiometer in your K40 with which you can adjust your max output, it would be a good idea to lock the power supply to approx. 16 mA max output power. (I do not have this option)
Regarding MDF and HDF, I have only positive experiences and I use this material for many technical topics such as gears. The picture shows my “standard” settings for the 2 materials.
