This design would seem to be a good fit for Synchromesh cable, instead of belts. It’s smaller, so doesn’t need as much offset for the cross-over, and reduces backlash, as compared to timing belts.

Thanks for the advice, we had good experience with timing belts in the previous 3D printer design, so we maintain it changing only from Metric T to GT2 profile. If the backlash is lower, the syncromesh can be an option, anyway this design does not have the coreXY belt crossover, but uses the H-Belt layout, so the belt lay all on the same plane.
