What software do you use for 3D printing and how many people use Blender Software (http://blender.org)?
I preffer DesignSpark Mechanical. This is professional tool, free for privat use.
I use blender, its wonderful software. Also my friend (he’s designer) use it for working and for making models for 3d printing.
Blender here.
I believe the same can be done in Blender too.
Blender will handle text and Boolean better that Maya.
So I use both.
The same could be done in Blender, Sketchup, etc. But as they say, just because you could doesn’t mean you should. I use Solidworks and Catia.
Sketchup.

I sprang for Autodesk Inventor, and for what I do, it’s been well worth the surprisingly large price. Working with assemblies has saved me weeks of time.
Solidworks, SharkFX, Fusion 360
Sketchup, 123D Catch, Meshmixer for creation of stuff. Slic3r, Cura, RepG for the Makerbot Rep1 - none really work. Our CubePro uses its own software that handles slicing and machine code. I want to get into blender, too, but I’ve learned Sketchup for school and I’m used to it.
Solidworks here, it’s an easy to use software, but it makes great things! Check it out: http://www.tiptaptop.fr and http://www.propulsurf.com
Thanks to everybody. I see the Blender Software isn't very popular software for 3D printers.
