I completed mods to my VG-L7X engraver.
In summary, I fabricated a new bottom plate and added eccentric spacers to adjust out the play between the carriage tires and the V-slot extrusion. Pretty common method.
I am posting this before completing testing in case anyone else wants to try it.
The blog post contains a 1:1 drawing so you can easily make your own modified plate.
Later and if there is enough community interest I will make a CAD version.
