Thought I’d share a little mounting tip that I’m sure someone else has figured out before. But used little 1/8"~ bands cut from 3/4" heat shrink tubing to strap LED strips to thin strips of wood for mounting. Just slide them on and heat shrink them in place. Seems to work pretty well I think…

Zip ties are also good for this kind of thing—with the added benefit of being able to tie on to a mesh rather than something straight. OTOH, I used heat shrink to fix velcro onto the back of the strips in my jacket because the cut ends of zip ties are sharp and would have gouged out the cover fabric.

Nice,two very good ideas! I’ll be doing an under cabinet install soon-ish and I may have to use one of these. Thanks for sharing!
