This is the helmet for a baikers group!
The resolution is:
Nozzle: 0,4mm
Layer thickness: 0,2mm
Infill: 80%
Quality: Normal
Time: 6 Hours
What do they baike there?
Decent print quality, a model like that needs soluble or break-away supports though.
How about impact resistance? I want to print a helmet for bicicle but dont know how tick it should be
Oh I dunno… with proper engineering I could see a 3d printed helmet filled with EPS foam being crash worthy. Modern biking helmets are simply that actually. A thin plastic shell over a well designed foam core…
@Nathan_Walkner I’m assuming that the outside surface is the most important, if you flip it the surface will me marred by support structure.
