This is an update to the xy carriage of the Motedis QR 500 3d

This is an update to the xy carriage of the Motedis QR 500 3d printer i made some time ago.

This carriage is a bit larger than the previous one, so the bearings are further apart which makes it more stable. It is also possible to mount a fan to it which is needed to get good quality PLA prints.

The fan trunk and radialfan adaptor fit tight into the big hole in the “lageblock”. If printed correctly you dont need any glue to assemble.

The FROG test:
To see the difference in print quality i made some tests. All at same hotend temperature and print speed.
The first frog was done with no fan at all. As you see the overhangs look very messed up.
The second frog was printed with a big fan at the printer frame blowing all over the print bed. This helps a bit but is still no good result.
The third frog was printed with the new carriage with the radialfan on the carriage, which produces realy nice results.

After all the testing i have a hole frog family now
