The drive, looks like it works really well. Started some prelim tests and calibration. The Betas are going to use a slightly higher gear ratio, which will give a little more kick for short extrusions.

The flex circuit is our hot end heater. The thermistor leads get soldered onto that as well, so the only connection to the electrical harness is that connector at the top. Easy to swap out different nozzle sizes and for cleaning.

The PCBs get laminated to brushed stainless sheets. Really works like a charm. No Kapton or anything for printing ABS without warping. The stuff sticks to it like it is glued until around 70C when it pops off without any assistance.

No solder resist on the heated PCB? Or is that side exposed at all?

Those are the prototype ones for this batch of beta units. The final ones are with solder mask.
