Led me down a rabbit hole. I was unaware there was laser safe vinyl.
Something tells me the guy from the first video is not using this safe stuff since he makes no mention of it. Recreating the burn pits of Iraq and Afghanistan in mini-scale.

Yep, heating / burning PVC produces hydrochloric acid gas which is HIGHLY corrosive. Not to mention a SEVERE mucosal tissue irritant.

It actually burns. I’m a chemist and I’ve accidentally gotten a whiff of the fumes from concentrated hydrochloric acid a few times in the past.
