Starting to actually use LW4, and already ran in to a few smalll usability challenges in my workflow.

Hence two suggestions:

  1. Z adjust setting for each ‘document’ (so we can tell the laser inside the job itself to go out of focus)
  2. Pause job [before|after this ‘document’] (So we can make it pause at a desired point to - for instance - change lenses)

@CescoAiel ​ first option exists on each operation (start height) That’s more flexible than each document.

The second one depends on firm, worth study :slight_smile:

Go to settings, enable Z, enter your z homing default if you want.
When z stage is enabled, z start height will show up each operation

For the 2nd option: LW4 could pause sending gcode to the smoothie at the pause point until play is pressed again…

@CescoAiel the Z things are for the Emblaser they reverse the axis or somthing odd i believe so be careful :slight_smile: perhaps @Jorge_Robles knows more?

Hmm we unified that behavior. Z is heigth over the surface

I’ve looked at the setting, and I see that I have some RTFM-ing to do on the Z axis stuff! :wink:
