Specifically trying to figure out SVG gradients (load as solid objects in Meerk40t)

I’m not quite figuring out what I’m doing wrong, but when I bring an SVG that has a gradient in it into meerk40t, it shows up as solid. Do I need to enable something or change a setting for it to fix this? I’ve been googling and reading through anywhere I can find (or watch) meerk40t content and I haven’t found anything covering svg gradients (yet). Any help would be appreciated.

I doubt if Meerk40t supports gradient fills.

I’m saying this because we certainly don’t support them with LaserWeb, I’ve looked at adding this and it would require considerable extra logic in the importer and gcode renderer to do so.

  • There are workarounds by exporting the svg as a graphics file and then rastering that.
  • It may be that lightburn has such a feature.
