Some of you may already know about this but I thought I’d make an announcement about my recent progress with CAMotics the Open-Source 3-axis CNC simulator (formerly called OpenSCAM).
There have been several new releases recently. The latest being v1.0.3. I am also working on an even newer version with better support for tool tables and unit preferences (i.e. metric vs. imperial).
Also, we (my Uncle and I) are working on TPL (Tool Path Lanuage). See http://tplang.org/ and the examples that come with CAMotics for a demonstration of what it can do. This Javascript based language will be expanded to allow all kinds of CAM operations. It’s early days but already quite powerful.
