Eccentric rules so nice … feel need a spring for mantains closed bearings during print
I feel that friction should be enough to keep them closed (the diameter is quite small, so the torque is very low to overcome the friction of PLA/PLA). But nothing like trying. Worse case, a rubber band maintaining the levers up.

Detents or a ratchet? Repurpose or copy the mechanism in a zip tie.
