Robotics distributer launch #3dprinting service. What do you think of the rather restrictive build dimensions, colours, materials etc?

Material selection really sucks due to PLAs tendency to warp when anywhere near heat. In a robot, that’s potentially anywhere. ABS should be the default for this for sure.
However, the build plate restrictions aren’t so bad. They sound like printrbot dimensions though.
We thought the PLA only selection was rather strange. Its not a particularly comprehensive service in fairness. It’s hardly going to rock shapeways’ boat.
Unfortunately a lot of the industry is covered in patents. I doubt many big players would spring forth because of that reason.
i just love robotics
