I question the decision to make it iOS-only, with no alternative way of accessing the service for users who decided not to buy an iPhone or iPod touch.
Yeah I need to look into it more, I hope that the choice to go iOS has more to do with constrained dev resources than a desire to limit access.
What I see here is a potential consumer for some of the distributed thing network systems that have been proposed by others here (ie - https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/112691591186958693265)
