RC overflies of Burning Man 2016:
Best enjoyed in 4K: Burning Man 2016 in 4K - RC Plane Overflies - Day - Music (not a drone) (YT antishake) - YouTube

If you don’t like the music and/or would rather hear the original RC
plane sounds: Burning Man 2016 in 4K - RC Plane Overflies - Day - RC Sounds - YouTube

Hightlights you can look for:

  • plane flying in place due to high winds and 0 ground speed (on purpose)
  • wind pushing playa dust in big waves
  • video ends with a huge parade of bikers

I’ll paste the video description since it should answer some questions and I’m going back to working on my mashup of sunset/night views for a 2nd video

This video is a mix of 4K (gopro) front video and 2K (mobius) rear facing video, explaining the change in contrast and resolution if you are viewing in 4K.

Screenshots of the flight, and details on the RC plane used:

The video is shaky, sorry, that’s the nature of planes, and I kept the cameras inside the plane (i.e. not gyro stabilization) for efficiency of flight and safety in case the plane were to crash (it was made out of foam). This would look better shot from a drone, but I consider those unsafe to fly over people since if they fail they can cause serious injury, or worse (drone use is also restricted at burning man for that exact reason).
