Add in the ability to split the item into multiple vertical pieces and then put the pieces through this and then you can make complex items out of 2x4s. An owl statue might be made out of 3-4 parts and joined with dowel rods after a moment of drilling, for example. With the multiple vertical pieces, this will probably make my own software project (bucketmill which I have on github) obsolete.
