I was able to solve my issues with the nGen filament from @colorFabb_Filament .

You can cold-pull if you have PLA/PHA at hand. nGen is soft like chewing gum but it does have a similar melting point to PLA.

My PTFE liner was worn out. I didn’t notice that.

It doesn’t like to stick to rough surfaces of dried glue-stick like PLA but requires a sticky layer. At 85°C this means applying glue stick right before the heated head starts to print as it evaporates quickly.
Also more frequent bed-cleaning as the glue stick accumulates.
