Nvum relay

I have been trying to add a relay(5v and 12v) to my Nvum controller to run my dust collector and have had no luck getting it to work. Can anyone help??

Welcome, Dan.

I am not familiar with a Nvum controller. Can you point us somewhere that has more info. on the controller?
What have you tried so far?
I’m sure we can help … with the right output from the controller the controllable power strip @HalfNormal suggests could work or you could build your own equivalent.

I have been working on it again today. I am new to 5v relays. Is it normal to need a 5v signal to trigger it?

Is this what you have?

That is the one I have

Are you using the MACH3 software to control the board?

If it seems that there is a mist/flood relay you can use. It’s just a questions of figuring the pin configuration in the software

This video is suppose to show you how, but it’s not really clear but you might be able to piece it together

Thanks Ned. I will give that a try. I will let you know if it works

can you provide a wiring diagram/schematic of how you have it wired?
