For best results with PLA, we suggest using a mixture: methanol and lye

Has anyone experimented with this as a PLA-equivalent for vapor baths, other than these guys? This is the first I’ve heard of such a thing.

I’d read about some VERY nasty stuff that worked, so I just wrote it off. Lye I can live with… I need to re-investigate.

interesting… MEK under pressure can smooth PLA it appears.
