I’ve been scouring the internet looking for a place that I can send a DXF file to, and have it laser cut. Its a VERY simple cut, rectangle with rounded corners. I could probably do it by hand, but given its a commissioned project I want it to look perfect!
@Dustin_B It’s possible no one here has used a service to laser-cut EVA foam. We do focus more on making things ourselves.
For anyone noticing that the “V” in “EVA” stands for “vinyl” it’s not PVC and the reason we don’t cut “vinyl” is the C in PVC — the chlorine atom is freed making chlorine gas. Ethylene-vinyl acetate has only H, C, and O in it and should be safe, as far as I can tell. @NedMan should we add EVA to What can I cut with a laser cutter/engraver? perhaps?
