My wife and I have been playing a lot with the combo +reconstructme / kinect recently.
The prints turned to be so good on the +ultimaker that we decided to start a side-business !

I suggest getting a PrimeSense Carmine 1.09 sensor. It’s the same hardware as the kinect, only works much closer - more detail.
