It’s operating in an ambient temperature of over 100F at times near 110F … part of the tradeoff I knew I was getting into…
When I replace it, I’ll lower the chiller back down to 18C (68F) for the replacement tube. I’ve also moved to a cooler location.
I’m sure you’re correct, I probably have low hours on this tube relatively. I’ve also run it at 100% power, to do measurements…
All of this is rough on the consumable. But it is a consumable and I have the replacement ‘bulb’ here.
