Will post under news next time but I always find it hard to differentiate what topics deserve discussion and what are just newsworthy notes and whether discussion is reserved for topics that are not news or discussion about the site itself.

Yeah, we need to change “discussion” to something else I think. Any ideas?

I would suggest front page for news and new name for discussion could be “community issues” if the intention is to talk about the structure and topics of this community
