Looks like a good deal for a dual-extruder. Anyone have experience with this model?

Does it lift the nozzle(s) that are not currently in use?

Looks identical to makerbot replicator 2x

Yes it’s just a clone of a bad makerbot printer. Much better options out there. Particularly Ultimaker, Raise3D and Zortrak.

Believe it or not I’m happy with the rep 2x, I’ve replaced thermocouples, xyz cables, extruder nozzles and added custom plunger. I have around 120 hours on it.

Ill have to look into the alternatives you mentioned as mb has lost all credibility moving past the 2x line.
Dont get me started in their smart extruder scam…

Cool. Thanks all. It was getting good reviews on Amazon so I was curious.

I would not even consider a dual extrusion machine with two fixed extruders on the same printhead today when there are machines like the Ultimaker 3 that lifts the nozzle that is not in use, or the Sigma that uses separate printheads.

I have the wood panel version of this printer. 2000± hours and still going strong. It’s been a workhorse for me.

I have used this model. It’s a decent printer, but the dual nozzle feature is problematic. Like @Nathan_Walkner said, the nozzles are fixed, and in our case, not exactly at the same z height, so it doesn’t work great. We just use one nozzle for a print.

If you’re looking for dual extrusion specifically, you may look at the ZeePro Zim. They’re being liquidated at around $200 on eBay. You can easily flash OctoPrint to the Cubie board to bypass their stupid chipped filament.

I have been running a flashforge creator pro for over a year now and I think this is a great printer. You should be aware that it can take some time and tinkering to get it to its optimum performance.

If you are planning on printing dual material prints…this is probably not the printer for you. There are several issues, one nozzle is nearly always lower than the other and this will drag through the layers the other nozzle prints. Second the second heated nozzle hovering around while the other nozzle prints keeps the plastic from setting up like it should.

Long story short. It can print with two nozzles but a dual material print suffers a drop in print quality.

Aside from that I love this printer, and have made some pretty great stuff with it.

I have this printer for more than a year and it is a great printer. The nozzles are attached together so they move together. I had no issues with this printer with doing many prints. You can watch some of my videos about it and how to set it up here:https://www.youtube.com/user/TheRoboPapa
