Laser Cut Puzzle Question

I have a feeling I will have to do this the hard way, but thought I’d check with some more experienced people first…

I am cutting puzzles out of basswood. It works and I’ve got my basic settings dialed in for the specific wood. I can get clean cut with no char or searing on a simple cuts.

The design is a 30 piece puzzle that is assembled and already interlocked. When I cut my puzzle out I get too much char on the edges because it is cutting over the same paths regardless of setting lightburn to one pass. Is there anything I can do to stop it from over passing pieces?

Try enabling Remove overlapping lines:

There are also SVG jigsaw generators which do not produce overlapping paths like this one:

That one also got a hex option, which is neat.
