Just noticed some new WS2812 and SK6812 variants with 74 LEDs/m and 96 LEDs/m, as well as a thinner variant with 100 LEDs/m – super excited about this!

For me the 60 LED/m strips were never quite enough, but the 144 LED/m strips were too much (too hard to solder, couldn’t be used well on curved surfaces, etc.). The 96 LEDs/m seem like a sweet spot – just put in an order.

Ray Wus store has had all these for ages  I have always used the 144ppm, but recently had a project that required 60ppm and 96ppm. Great to have options!

The 96ppm are kind of neat because the pixel spacing is super close to equal the width of the LED strip. This means you can make evenly spaced matrices by laying down strips whose edges are touching.
