Never seen anyone do Y motor in front before.

Does it really matter where the Y motor is? I mean, mine is hidden in back, but could be exposed in front and nothing will change from a function point of view.

But I agree with @John_Abella that it’s unusal to put the motor in the front. And also @Josef_Prusa prefers to put it in the back because of the more professional look of the printer.

I prefer it on the front because my idler has a tensioner with a bolt sticking out the end. I’d rather have that on the back
