In the heat of Saturday 6th June, Elephant & Castle in South London hosted a mini MakerFaire that drew hundreds of young and older, geek and non-geeks into the even hotter rooms of the London Comms College.
Our project at TVRRUG was to print, in parallel, on 6 six Mendel Prusa (TVRR* variants) an xbox kinect scan of Alan Turing’'s bust,
I was amazed that my printer seemed to do the impossible by printing, near perfect, Alan’s ear lobe that seems to float in mid air (from an additive printing perspective)
This is all credit to M&H for inspiring a printer that will work in the 30deg heat and print so well, and too #Faberdashery for their quality filament that produced a smooth, consistent print with no special adjustments.
