I’m taking the plunge tonight and ordering a RigidBot. I know it will still be a while before I get my printer, but are their any tips for a newb that y’all can share? I have experience with and access to Solidworks to do most of my modeling.

My experience is that reading about material properties and print settings will get you a bit more settled. Understanding the material helps you understand why things are set the way they are.

But if you know cad, alot of things really don’t make since until you have a printer to play with.

I highly recommend you use global parameters to manage your minimum wall thickness in Solidworks designs that way if your print is too fragile you scale the whole model preserving design intent. That’s about all unless you want your parts castable in the future then you will want to manage injection flow and thermal shock zones. That is done in Solidworks Premium.
