Im sure some of you may seen these new WS2812 2020 Pixels http://www.world-semi.com/DownLoadFile/139 I

@Leon_Yuhanov what do you mean by “falling apart” . Signal decaying, or voltage not being able to make it across the matrix due to amps and losses on the too small traces?
If the latter, most matrices have power re-injection points in the middle to help with this.

@Marc_MERLIN At this point all of the above. Once I have a few flex pcbs fabed ill have more info

@Michael_Sime I dont have the prototype strips, thats what the KS is for :slight_smile:

@Leon_Yuhanov even that mockup? put an existing strip next to that!
(please)

@Michael_Sime Give me 3 hours

@Michael_Sime Here you, this is the 1st rev prototype print out of the 2020 strip thats 5mm wide next to a 5050 144ppm strip on 12mm

@Leon_Yuhanov holy density batman! THAT’S what I needed to see…wow…thanks!

Not quite 2 pixels per cm, but very close, well done. Can’t wait until I can buy a matrix from you :slight_smile:

@Marc_MERLIN @Michael_Sime The last prototype pcb layout i made had these on 4mm strip with a 4.6mm spacing per pixel. Which is about 2px per cm. But until I actually fab it up its all just theory :slight_smile:

@Leon_Yuhanov I love the new config. 4mm is very impressive.

found these, 22 x 22 in same size where normally one finds 16 x 16. not quite as dense as what you are after but could help those in need.

@Mark_Estes that is a nice find, thank you. Hopefully we’ll eventually find sellers just offering 32x32 :slight_smile:
