I would be happy to be part of ‘cut it forward’ - but gots to cut first

That and getting alloy plates is going to be a problem. Nothing for sale here - have to import - which means that It’s probably cheaper for me to buy the recipient a set in their country.

But… the thought is there. I’m thinking of setting aside a portion of everything I make to fund a local maker community. Given all the very wealthy millionaires and billionaires that live here, I would rather have them do it.

I don’t know - I’ve still got to finish the wiring before it is ready to cut anything.

The issue I have is that I live in a third-world country that doesn’t have any sheet metal resellers (nobody makes anything here) or sellers of plastics or anything that a maker could need to cut some Ox plates - so I would have to import it, cut it and then export it. It would be cheaper for me to pay for a set of plates in the country where a recipient lived than to do that - it could cost hundreds of dollars and take 6-10 weeks. Shipping is outrageously expensive here.
