I think it's this outdated firmware on my TinyG that's causing the problem.

Ok, So I’m all updated and I setup the parameters that Thomas Shue had stored in Pastebin. But for some reason ever since the update if my power supplies are turned on as soon the the red LED stops blinking the PWM LED comes on and the spindle starts and probably spins at 1000 RPMs. I have tried to cut with it and I’m getting much better results. But the spindle comes on with the power supplies. If I have to live with that I will as long as it cuts good! but if anyone has an idea why this is happening chime in please.

Set $p1pof=0.0.
It is likely $p1pof=0.1 in the default parameter set.
Also, by default, the Steppers are on, holding position, for $mt seconds after boot, should then release.

Since you obviously have a PWM spindle, read thru this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/50261731/Spindle%20Test%201.doc
May be helpful optimizing other PWM parameters

Ok, I got the spindle to stop and its cutting the best it ever has!! very pleased at this point! Thank you guys very much for all the help.

Update!! ever since the firmware update to 440.18 my OX has been working flawlessly. You guys probably figured that since I’ve been so quiet. lol Thanks again for all your input.
