I just had a major printer malfunction. Melted power input connector on the melzi main board. Disconnected everything, reconnected power, took a leap of faith and plugged Old phone in.
Motherboard appears fine. Thanks to gcodeprintr I was able to prove motherboard was worth repairing.
…Just checked with GCodePrintr and a spare (repaired) stepper on the Extrude Channel. Looks good to go.
I took the Fan Port off, using that for Power and a flying lead from Fan, just in case I ever use that channel!
Thanks for GCodePrintr, it was perfect for testing channels, maybe we could incorporate a diagnostic mode into future editions?
