I just finished an Arch Linux image for the beaglebone black…

Installation method: xz -cd /path/to/image > /dev/sdX
SSH: root @ alarm
Password: root

don’t forget to resize your SD card, and to hold down the usr button while trying to boot from SD.

Does it support using the SD-card as additional storage?

@Kees_Jongenburger are you trying to install the image directly to nand?
I haven’t test it on the nand, so good luck and let us know.
