I have a Samsung galaxy tab pro 12.2 connected to an Arduino Mega  Ramps 1.4.

I have a Samsung galaxy tab pro 12.2 connected to an Arduino Mega Ramps 1.4. with a OTG cable.
Error: “Unfortunately, GCode Simulator (Free) has stopped”
1 - Cable works with PC
2 - GCode starts as default app on Samsung
3 - Baud rate OK
4 - Printer talks to PC over USB
5 - Debug is enabled but no messages on console
6 - Error also occurred with previous printer MixShop G1
What do I do next?

Thanks for reporting the problem. You need a usb-OTG adapter to connect the printer to the tablet. A normal usb cable will not work. See also http://3dprintapps.de/FAQ.html#debug

I am experiencing a similar problem. I’ve tried 3 OTG adapters to no avail. Samsung 12.2 Tab. When I run the USB diagnostics, it tells me that it is not supported. OTG works fine with storage devices. Any suggestions?

hm, looks like Samsung has restricted the USB-OTG support on the 12.2 Tab :frowning:
Does USB diagnostics offer you to fix the problem (might only work if devices is rooted)

It attempted to fix it but failed. Likely because it is not rooted.

Mathias,
Thank-you for your opinion. I may purchase an inexpensive smaller tablet
to run with the printer.

Earl, I thought of the same thing. But it seems that that task is actually not as simple as I originally thought.

Mathias, may I ask if you have a list of tablets that you know have the proper OTG access?
