I got my jewelers drill bits in today. I already lost one. I need a special work area for this stuff with a light, a microscope and a box to work in. I also need to get another caliper so I know what size bit I am holding.

Yeah, jewelers’ benches typically have a half-round cutout with a catch cloth beneath it so anything you drop ends up there. One: no more hunting around in the dust for diamonds, and two: catches all the gold dust for later collection. But it also functions nicely for catching 0.2mm drillbits.

I once fabricated a hotend nozzle with a 0.15mm hole. It was lovely for fine detailed work, but it also jammed constantly: any fragment of anything in the feed material would clog it.

@John_Bump I rarely bother with less than a 0.5mm nozzle and still get tons of jams.

Yep. We were using cheap filament, which was definitely part of the problem. But, man, jam city. It was an interesting project, though.
