I could use some help. All these connectors. I’m lost. What do I need to purchase for connecting the motor to an XT60 connector? A link to hobbyking or amazon would be awesome.

This will get me from the battery to XT60.

I connect my motors via 3.5mm bullet connectors (http://img.linkdelight.com/productmedia/TO26/TO26_show.jpg) to the ESCs and the ESCs have a wireharness all together. From the wireharness there is an XT60 or HXT 4mm plug for plugging in your battery.

I put XT60 on all my batteries, just get the raw female and male parts, some 12 gauge silicone wire, lead solder and heat shrink tubing, and those lovely bullet connectors above.

Flite Test on YouTube have soldering guides.

Making your own harness saves weight and makes everything the right length.

If you need more handholding I can maybe link you to things when I’m on the PC later.

I do the same as @Bracken_Dawson . With planes I find myself needing to make custom length wires with connectors. XT60 are my favorite.

This is really stupid, not trying to insult you, but the motors have 3 wires coming out of them intended to connect to an electronic speed controller (ESC). The ESC is what you are connecting to the battery, not the motor.

Assuming you knew that, but wanted to make sure.

Battery has 2 leads and the ESC has two wire to connect to it. Usually red and black. XT60 goes on those.

Then the three wires on the esc and motor gets bullet connectors.

Thanks for the information. I will see what I can put together after I get back from vacation.
