Made 3d printed wheels to exchange the packing tape by dyneema cord.
They fit tight on the 696 bearing. To make them realy round i put them into the power drill and while spinning used a round file.

whell done Marc! print and correct with powertool

Nearly the same idea for m5 : https://www.youmagine.com/designs/cord-guide

Looking good! I have not had much progress with my wheels since my last post about them. Had to shelf it for real life matters.

a cover is a nice idea shauki. Have to do some thinking about how to make it.
The feet are from motedis 6x60 40 diameter with “Dämpfungsring” http://www.motedis.com/shop/Mechanik-Basiselemente/Bodenelemente/Gelenkfuesse-und-Zubehoer/Poliamid-Glasfaserverstaerkt/Gelenkfuesse-Reihe-10-PA::461.html

uploaded the wheels to http://youmagine.com

i use 4 lines of 0,3mm dyneema fishing line parallel, because this was laying arround here. For me it works better than packing tape although it is about the same flexibility when pushing on the z-stage per hand.
Think best would be 1.3 or 1.5mm dyneema cord like this http://www.ebay.de/itm/Drachenschnur-Dyneema-100m-30-50-70-95-130-180-230-260-500daN-weis-0-3-bis-1-8mm-/350724388470?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&var=&hash=item51a8cd7676

But it is very expensive. I havent found a source where one can buy only a few meters needed for the z-stage.

Cheaper version: http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/ODEzOTU1OTk-/Bauelemente_Bauteile/Mechanische_Bauelemente/Montagematerial/Schwingungsdaempfer.html

Only with three joints

Okay. when it works i will dance !
