Hi Folks, I’ve managed to get hold of a few Zimm jack screws that might help me make a small CNC mill but I’m at a loss where to start with the design. Does any of you clever folks have any ideas to get me underway?

Find a copy of David Gingery’s home machine shop series, particularly the one where he builds a mill. It’ll give you some ideas about what a mill needs and how to fabricate precision tools without access to precision tools.
