Hi everyone. A while ago I asked some power-supply related questions for an installation that I am building. So now I’m back to give you a glimpse of how the project is proceeding. (more pictures at: https://www.facebook.com/lumenusglow/photos)

The final construction will use 40 times the so-called ‘tripod’ that you see in the movie. Every tube houses 224 LEDs, a MTCH105 chip for touch-sensing the tubes and 6A DC/DC converter. One tube houses an additional Teensy 3.2 and WIZ820io ethernet receiver. All sensor data is send over ethernet to a computer running processing, creating an image that is being processed by Enttec LED mapping software sending LED data to the tubes again via Artnet.

Thank you all for your support, and I be happy to answer questions if you have any, but I’m not allowed to share any schematics as it’s under protection of my university. When all tripods are build I will make sure to upload another video!

Oh and by the way, this code somehow had extremely low framerate as you can see in the video. It was a modified Noise w/ palette code, but I have no idea why it’s that slow. Usually its way faster (also using OCTOWS2811 w/ fastled now).
