Hey Guys! new to the group and CNc’ing in general!

Looking for a bit of help! I’m running mach 3 on a chinese import CNC. I have my part code which has come ffrom a solidworks file into mach 3 code.

When i import the code, A) how do i set the machines coordinates to 0 and the job coordinated to 0 on the edge of my material B) Whats the best method to clamp the material into the cnc, I believe the bed has T-slots in it.

Any help would be grealty appreciated!

How do you generate gcode?

Setting coordinates to zero is called homing the machine. Although how you do that on Mach3 I’ve no idea. I use LinuxCNC.

You can move each axis to where you want the ZERO be and press the zero buttonfor that axis

Try to look for the controler model and do a search on Youtube. I am sure you will find videos showing your CNC.
