Hello, Looking for any help here.

Hello,
Looking for any help here. I have an OX cnc and just upgraded to a gecko G540 with a Ethernet break out board. I set up UCCNC and did all of my calibration for my steppers, everything is set and works great. My only issue is when I go to make my cut, the first pass should only be .125, but it is going more the .750. The digital readout on my software shows that isn’t should have moved .125. On the second pass it does move .125. Both X and Y move the correct distance everytime. I am using Vcarve for my cam software. I am not sure what is going on with the first pass.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,

I assume you mean the Zaria is going too deep on the first pass. While I don’t have an answer for you. It would be helpful to know what you are using to drive the zaxis, belt or screw?

Here old be different motor settings for each. A start?

Ted,
Thank you for the reply. I am using a screw on the Z axis. I did the auto calibration in UCCNC going off of the measurements I got from the tests. I am just not sure what is going on with it.
